Marino Mauro Álvarez Izaguirre
Mauro Álvarez obtained his master degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Oviedo in 2017. He continued his PhD study at University of Oviedo in the Catalysis, Reactors and Control research group under the supervision of Prof. Salvador Ordoñez. He obtained his PhD in Chemical and Environmental Engineering in 2023 and his doctoral work targeted the use of zeolites for the chemical upgrading of coal mining emissions to higher value products. In 2017 and 2022 he completed two short internships at ArcelorMittal R&D Gent (Belgium) and IMDEA Energy Institute (Spain) respectively.
His current research interests are focused on the catalytic testing of zeolites and optimization of reaction parameters.
