Taught by Dr. Junjie together with Dr. Lukáš Grajciar and Dr. Christopher Heard, the course introduces key concepts and models of solid-state theory, showing how simple quantum principles explain the properties of materials. The emphasis is on developing a clear physical picture of phenomena in solids, with applications to chemistry, physics, and materials science.

The course is designed for both theoretical and experimental students. A background in basic physical chemistry or general physics is sufficient to follow.
