M.Sc., Doctoral student

Deborah Brako-Amoafo

Currently, Deborah Brako-Amoafo is a Joint PhD student under the supervision of Professor Russell Morris (REM) at the University of St Andrews and Dr Christopher James Heard of Charles University, previously supervised by late Professor Petr Nachtigall. She focuses on the combined use of theoretical and experimental methods to investigate zeolite characterisation, specifically experimental and theoretical NMR methods to characterise zeolite structure and dynamics.

Highlights of research:

  • Characterise zeolites and investigate room temperature zeolite-water interactions using experimental 17O NMR.

  • Developing theoretical NMR methods to characterise zeolite structure and dynamics, from experimental data.
