Krzysztof defended his thesis in 2018 at the Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of Polish Academy of Sciences in Wrocław under the supervision of Prof. Janusz Boratyński and Dr. Tomasz Goszczyński. His research is focused on interactions of boron clusters with biological macromolecules (nucleic acids, proteins, and lipid membranes) as well as on synthesis and studies of physicochemical properties and biological activity of boron cluster-peptide conjugates.
From 2019 he started working as a postdoc at the Department of Physical and Macromolecular Chemistry at Charles University. In 2019 he was awarded a grant project for the development of metallacarborane-short cationic peptide conjugates with antimicrobial or antitumor activities (National Science Centre, Poland, grant No. 2019/32/C/NZ7/00510).
