Nam Sun Kim
Dr., Researcher
Research Group: Heterogeneous Catalysis and Advanced Materials
Dr. Nam Sun Kim earned his Ph.D. in 2025 from Inha University in Incheon, Republic of Korea, specializing in the convergence of chemistry and chemical engineering. Before completing his doctorate, he worked at the Korean Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT) from 2022 to 2025. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Charles University in Prague.
His research focuses on the synthesis, modification, and application of heterogeneous catalytic materials, with particular expertise in controlling the interconversion of zeolites and the stabilization of ultrasmall metal nanoparticles supported on zeolites. He is also deeply engaged in advanced characterization techniques, particularly operando spectroscopy, including infrared (IR) and Raman spectroscopy.
Dr. Kim has co-authored five publications, which have received over 120 citations, and has an H-index of 4.
