Pablo M. Blanco defended his PhD at the University of Barcelona (Spain) in November 2020, under the supervision of Dr. Sergio Madurga and Dr. Josep L. Garcés. From December 2020, he joined the Department of Physical and Macromolecular Chemistry of Charles University (Czech Republic), working as a post-doc in the group of Dr. Peter Košovan.
His research is focused in the computational modelling of macromolecular systems. In particular, he investigates charge regulation in pH-responsive systems such as weak polyelectrolytes and intrinsically disordered proteins. In addition, his studies also include the research of the influence of macromolecular crowding in protein properties, particularly in their diffusion and ionization.
