The final round of the third year of the prestigious Contipro Award took place in the end of June. The greatest hopes of Czech science in the field of biomaterials and tissue engineering met there to present their contributions, similar to professional competitions. The first place went to Roman Staňo for his master thesis. Congratulations to him and to his supervisor dr. Peter Košovan!

The winner of the award finds a great contribution of the Contipro Prize in the form of bringing feedback to his own work: “Because I work in theory and perform simulations, I have limited contact even with experimentalists doing basic research. It was very beneficial to meet people who work more in applied research and to see how do they work and how do they think about it.
