CHeMix Summer School

Last week, the Chemistry Section held the first year of CHeMix Summer School designed for high school students.

The program was tailored so that participants spent all their time in the laboratories. Thanks to this, they got hands-on experience with equipment, experiments, and substances they wouldn't normally encounter during regular school classes.

And what did the participants get to try out with us?

  • Chromatography

  • Ions exchange using zeolites

  • Molecular modeling

  • Hydrogel synthesis

As a bonus, they visited our electron microscopy laboratories. We can safely say the event was a resounding success—or, in the words of one participant, “It was absolutely amazing.”
